whovianart ltd. ed. top 14-FI

In 2006 i started to produce limited laser carved edition return tops, each return top is done in a very limited run of only 66 pieces, each top is individually numbered.

Numbers 1-24 are done in a full size image (FI) , numbers 25-66 are done with a smaller image with a outer ring (SR).

This design is called 'EMO SMILY TIME', and the image is the FI version.

"Emo smily time"

The Emo spirit was born out from the surreal stone of goth, with the hole being the left eye (to see nothing clearly), the stone comes to a point that is curved to represent the falling tuft of goth hair, the tuft point is sharp, of which the emo feels, and from the feeling comes the tear, the tear creates the right eye, and as the tear fall to the base of the stone, it eventually comes to creates a pool of water, and when the tear fall into the pool, it then creates the ripple in the water, the ripple is the smile of the Emo.

I was inspired to produce the return top series from a 22 x 30 drawing i did a few years ago, which is where the first 12 designs in the series come from, someday a 22 x 30 limited edition hand-painted print (ed. of 12) will be produced, and all individual designs will be available as 9 x 12 limited edition hand-painted prints (ed. of 12).
